Systemic Design Field-Building Quest Fellowship: 50% tuition contribution linked to completion of the SDA-DRRS Quest contribution

Purpose
The Designing Resilient Regenerative Systems (DRRS) programme offers a Systemic Design Field-Building Quest Fellowship for CAS 3, CAS ETH in Regenerative Systems: Systemic Design (Autumn 2026). The fellowship is funded through the DRRS programme, co-developed with MonViso Institute in collaboration with the Systemic Design Association (SDA).
The fellowship covers 50% of the current tuition fee: CHF 4,115 of the CHF 8,230 programme fee. It is linked to an agreed Quest contribution that is developed throughout the CAS and completed with the final CAS deliverable. The scholarship supports a participant who wishes to combine their own learning with a practical contribution to the wider systemic design field.

Mapping and Weaving the Systemic Design Education Ecosystem

SDA co-mentoring: an invited circle of SDA members, educators and RSD contributors
Systemic Design has grown through multiple schools, programmes, practices, regions and knowledge traditions. These communities have developed distinctive methods, languages and cultures. The Quest explores how their differences and relationships can become more visible, and how stronger connections can support reciprocal learning across the field.
The scholarship recipient will develop a systemic overview of selected educational programmes and learning communities connected to systemic design. The work will examine how different approaches relate to science, design, systems traditions, embodied and inner practices, Indigenous and place-based knowledge, regenerative practice, and other forms of inquiry.
The process will be relational. Programme representatives and SDA members will be invited to describe their own orientations, contributions and desired connections.
The aim is to help communities understand one another more clearly, identify meaningful opportunities for cross-fertilisation, and strengthen the shared systemic design field while preserving the character of its diverse learning environments.

Art–Science Integration & Multispecies Communication

SDA co-mentoring: an invited circle of SDA members, educators and RSD contributors
As part of this call, we also invite applications for an additional specific sphere of inquiry dedicated to: . This sphere explores art, design and science as interconnected ways of sensing, investigating and engaging with complex living systems. It relates directly to the Systemic Design Wheel of Inquiry, examining how its six modes of inquiry can bring different forms of knowledge, perception and practice into a generative relationship.
This fellowship will connect the specialised art–science perspective with the scholarship’s broader field-building purpose. This sphere therefore adds a distinct profile to the overall call while remaining fully integrated within the wider systemic design scholarship.
